    A recent trip to Philadephia took me to the Mütter Museum of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia which is currently holding the exhibition "Woven Strands: The Art of Human Hair Work." The work on display covers the 17th century to the 20th century. Hair, like bone, is slow to decompose and is rather hardy when place in storage or on display in museums. In the 17th century through the 19th century, hair art work was especially popular in the United States, France, and the United Kingdom. It
